What are The Dutton Criteria?

As part of his second report on advocacy training, Timothy Dutton QC set out the performance criteria to be used in advocacy training. These criteria are used as the basis for assessment of advocacy, ensuring that a barrister is able to present cases in a manner which is clear, well-organised, efficient and persuasive.
